Supplier Terms & Conditions

Effective date: 3 April 2026

These Supplier Terms & Conditions (“Supplier Terms”) govern your registration and participation as a service provider (“Supplier”) on the Select2Connect marketplace platform operated by Select2Connect. By registering as a Supplier, you agree to be bound by these Supplier Terms in addition to our general Terms of Service.

1.Scope of Services

Select2Connect is a marketplace covering a wide range of home, property, and trade services. As a Supplier, you may register to provide services in one or more of the following categories:

Skip Hire • Scaffolding • Man & Van • Garden Clearance • Window Cleaning • Gutter Cleaning • Pressure / Jet Washing • Carpet Cleaning • Oven Cleaning • End of Tenancy Cleaning • Rubbish Removal • Fence Installation • Lawn Mowing • Locksmith • Handyman • Pest Control • Drain Unblocking • Car Wash • Plumbing • Electrical • Barber / Hairdresser (Home Visits)

You must only register for services that you are qualified, licensed, and insured to provide. Misrepresentation of your capabilities is grounds for immediate removal from the platform.

2.Registration & Verification

To register as a Supplier on Select2Connect, you must:

  • Provide accurate business details, including company name, contact information, and registered address.
  • Hold a valid UK business registration (sole trader, partnership, or limited company).
  • Provide a valid Companies House number (if applicable).
  • Complete identity verification as required by our payment processor (Stripe).
  • Upload proof of public liability insurance (see Section 4).
  • Provide details of any relevant trade accreditations (Gas Safe, NICEIC, NAPIT, etc.).

Select2Connect reserves the right to reject any registration application at its sole discretion. Approval does not constitute an endorsement of the Supplier’s work quality.

3.Commission & Payments

Select2Connect charges a platform commission of 12% of the total booking value (inclusive of VAT where applicable). This commission is deducted automatically before the Supplier payout is processed.

48-Hour Payment Holding Period

When a booking is marked as completed, the Supplier’s payout (88% of the booking value) is held for a minimum of 48 hours before being released to the Supplier’s connected Stripe account. This holding period:

  • Allows the Customer time to inspect the completed work.
  • Provides a window for the Customer to raise any immediate concerns or disputes.
  • Protects both parties in the event of a disagreement.

If no dispute is raised within 48 hours, the payout is automatically released. If a dispute is raised during this period, the payout is frozen until the dispute is resolved in accordance with Section 7.

Payouts are made to the Supplier’s connected Stripe account. Suppliers are responsible for setting up and maintaining their Stripe account in good standing. Select2Connect is not responsible for delays caused by Stripe account issues.

4.Insurance Requirements

All Suppliers must hold valid public liability insurance covering their trade activities for the entire duration of their registration on Select2Connect. This is a mandatory requirement, not optional.

Minimum Cover Levels

All other services£2,000,000

Insurance Upload & Verification

  • You must upload a copy of your insurance certificate during registration or within 14 days of account approval.
  • Your insurance must be renewed before it expires. You will receive reminders 30 days and 7 days before expiry.
  • If your insurance lapses, your listing will be automatically suspended until valid proof is provided.
  • Select2Connect may request updated proof of insurance at any time. Failure to provide it within 7 days may result in permanent removal.

Indemnity: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Select2Connect, its directors, employees, and agents from and against all claims, losses, damages, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from or in connection with your provision of services, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or breach of these Supplier Terms.

5.Service Standards & Obligations

As a registered Supplier, you agree to:

  • Carry out all work to a reasonable standard of care and skill, consistent with industry best practice.
  • Arrive at the agreed time or notify the Customer and Select2Connect promptly of any delay.
  • Provide all materials and equipment necessary for the job unless otherwise agreed.
  • Leave the work area clean and tidy upon completion.
  • Not subcontract work to third parties without the Customer’s prior written consent.
  • Comply with all applicable health and safety regulations.
  • Not solicit Customers to pay outside the Select2Connect platform.
  • Respond to Customer enquiries and complaints within 24 hours via the platform.

6.Pricing & Listings

Suppliers are responsible for setting accurate, competitive prices for their services. All prices displayed on the platform must be inclusive of VAT (where applicable) and any standard charges. Additional charges (e.g., for heavy waste, extended hire, or permits) must be clearly communicated before the Customer confirms the booking.

Select2Connect reserves the right to remove or modify listings that contain inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate content. Suppliers must not engage in price manipulation, bait-and-switch tactics, or any practice designed to mislead Customers.

7.Disputes & Complaint Resolution

14-Day Dispute Window

Customers may raise a dispute within 14 calendar days of a booking being marked as completed. During this period, Suppliers must cooperate fully with the dispute resolution process.

Dispute Process

  • Notification: You will be notified immediately when a Customer raises a dispute against one of your bookings.
  • Response window: You have 48 hours to respond with your account of events and, optionally, offer a resolution (full refund, partial refund, or remedial work).
  • Mediation: If the dispute is not resolved between you and the Customer, Select2Connect will review all evidence and make a binding decision.
  • Payout impact: If a dispute is raised before your payout has been released, the payout will be frozen until the dispute is resolved. If the dispute is resolved in the Customer’s favour, the refund will be deducted from your pending payout.

Emergency Escalation

Disputes involving safety-critical issues (electrical hazards, gas leaks, structural damage, flooding, or any immediate risk to health or safety) may be escalated to emergency status. Emergency disputes:

  • Are handled within 24 hours by a senior member of the Select2Connect team.
  • May result in immediate suspension of your listing pending investigation.
  • May result in an immediate full refund to the Customer if the safety concern is substantiated.
  • May be reported to the relevant regulatory body (e.g., Gas Safe Register, NICEIC) if required by law.

8.Workmanship Guarantee

Select2Connect offers Customers an optional Workmanship Guarantee at checkout. If a Customer purchases this guarantee, it provides 12-month cover for faulty work. As a Supplier, you should be aware that:

  • If a Workmanship Guarantee claim is raised, you may be asked to carry out remedial work at no additional cost.
  • If you are unable or unwilling to carry out remedial work, Select2Connect may arrange for an alternative Supplier and recover the cost from you.
  • Repeated Workmanship Guarantee claims against your bookings may result in a review of your account and potential suspension.

The Workmanship Guarantee is separate from your own insurance obligations. It is an additional layer of consumer protection provided by Select2Connect.

9.Suspension & Removal

Select2Connect reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove your Supplier account if:

  • Your insurance lapses or you fail to provide valid proof of insurance.
  • You receive multiple unresolved disputes or consistently poor Customer reviews.
  • You breach any provision of these Supplier Terms or the general Terms of Service.
  • You engage in fraudulent, illegal, or unsafe practices.
  • You attempt to circumvent the platform to arrange direct payments with Customers.
  • A safety-critical emergency escalation is substantiated against you.

In the event of suspension, any pending payouts will be held until all outstanding disputes are resolved. In the event of permanent removal, Select2Connect will release any undisputed funds within 30 days.

10.Data Protection

You agree to handle all Customer personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Customer data provided through Select2Connect (names, addresses, phone numbers) must only be used for the purpose of fulfilling the booked service and must not be retained, shared, or used for marketing purposes.

11.Confidentiality

You must keep confidential all non-public information relating to Select2Connect’s business, technology, pricing structures, and Customer data. This obligation survives termination of your Supplier account.

12.Changes to These Terms

We may update these Supplier Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to you via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
